Just a couple updates....

Some bad news has come our way unfortunately...back in November I was hit in a car accident. At the time, we thought my injuries would be healed completely with enough time to get ready for this trip, unfortunately that isn't the case. After months of physiotherapy and treatment, my neck and back are still in need of more care. A pending legal suit has forced me to drop out of this amazing cause, to deal with everything that has gone on with this.

It is really unfortunate that I won't be able to do this amazing trek, but Ayla still is! So please support her she's worked so hard. Hopefully I will be able to do this trip next year, but for now I am involved solely as a fundraising aide. So if anyone wants to help throw a fundraiser in Calgary, please let me know.

I am so disappointed that Amber cannot take part in the cycling portion of this trip. We both wanted this so badly, I can’t imagine how she must be feeling right now with regards to something so out of her control. Huge thanks to Amber for staying on board with fundraising, and all the best with rehabbing your body. Look out for Amber on her bike next year!!

We were lucky enough that Lisa Laventure stepped up to cycle with me across the country. Lisa is taking a year off of school and decided on a whim to commit to this amazing cause and make an incredible difference. Thanks Lisa for your dedication and contribution!
